Join Zip Security as a Founding Product Lead, becoming a pivotal force in shaping our product vision and operational execution. In this influential role, you will oversee crucial product areas from inception to delivery, focusing on resolving customer challenges and streamlining intricate security and IT processes.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Market teams to devise product strategies, facilitate execution, and implement robust product practices as we expand. This role suits a seasoned product manager who excels in uncertain environments, embraces complete ownership, and is passionate about establishing the product function from the ground up.
This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility to work in our New York City or Washington, DC offices.
Your Responsibilities
Steer product strategy and execution for essential components of the Zip Security platform as one of the initial product leaders.
Initiate product discovery — pinpointing customer pain points, validating solutions, and shaping the product roadmap in collaboration with Engineering and Design.
Convert customer requirements, business objectives, and technical limitations into clear product specifications and priorities.
Establish and refine product processes and best practices as the organization grows.
Compose precise product specifications that align teams and drive effective execution.
Manage prioritization and trade-offs across features, technical investments, and new initiatives.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to integrate customer feedback and guarantee successful product launches and adoption.
Utilize product metrics to evaluate success, iterating swiftly based on outcomes.
Serve as a strong internal advocate for product impact, emphasizing customer value and long-term vision.
Qualifications
5–8+ years of product management experience with ownership of products or significant product areas.
Experience in fast-paced or early-stage environments, with a knack for building structure in undefined settings.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions in the absence of complete information.
Strong communication skills with a passion for customer-centric product development.
