As the initial dedicated professional for driving growth at Petra Labs, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling our operations. Currently, our growth primarily stems from inbound inquiries and referrals linked to satisfied customers. While this approach is effective, it lacks scalability, and we believe there is untapped demand to explore.
We are seeking an innovative thinker who can collaborate closely with our leadership team to construct a robust go-to-market (GTM) strategy from the ground up. Your focus will be on generating qualified enterprise leads, crafting educational content for a market that is just beginning to recognize our category, and executing experiments across various channels to identify effective conversion tactics.
In this founding role, you will own the marketing function, influence strategic decisions, and maintain a direct connection with the founders. As a seed-stage company, we offer significant equity opportunities for early team members who are eager to build something meaningful rather than merely joining an existing framework.
Your Responsibilities
Pipeline & Demand Generation
Design and execute targeted outbound marketing campaigns aimed at enterprise marketing leaders (VPs/CMOs) in new verticals.
Establish lead qualification criteria, as we aim to onboard only one client per vertical, prioritizing targeting precision over sheer volume.
Develop and refine landing pages, email sequences, and paid marketing campaigns.
Monitor and report on key pipeline metrics; take ownership of the funnel from initial awareness to qualified opportunities.
Content Creation & Category Development
Produce insightful content that educates the market about AI search optimization, including blog posts, LinkedIn articles, case studies, and data reports.
Transform client success stories into compelling proof points (e.g., citation share gains, improvements in prompt rankings).
Position Petra Labs as a leading authority in the emerging category we are defining.
Assist the founders in establishing thought leadership by providing ghostwritten content, talking points, and social media strategies.
Marketing Operations & Experimentation
Set up and manage our CRM, email automation, and analytics systems.
Conduct rapid experiments to test different channels, messaging, formats, and audiences.
Create repeatable playbooks based on what works; discontinue what doesn’t.
Oversee marketing budgets and track return on investment (ROI).
