About the job
Join us at Growl, the pioneering ad network tailored for consumer AI applications. In just 45 days since our inception, we've successfully expanded our publisher network to millions of users.
About Us
As AI emerges as the predominant interface for internet users, integrating digital advertising into AI-driven experiences is becoming essential. Growl is at the forefront, aggregating resources across consumer AI applications to facilitate monetization through advertisements while enabling advertisers to connect with their target audiences more effectively.
Supported by leading investment firms such as PearVC and Audacious Ventures, who have a track record of backing billion-dollar enterprises including DoorDash and WorkOS, we are also guided by advisors with extensive experience in mobile ad technology and consumer AI sectors. Our founder, Sahil Manocha, is a published researcher and has previously developed advertising infrastructure at Google.
Our Progress
We have already tackled the challenging cold start issue that ad networks face by successfully onboarding both advertisers and publishers. Our next steps involve enhancing our core infrastructure to deliver the most contextually relevant advertisements at optimal times.
Your Role
As a founding engineer, you will be instrumental in designing the ad delivery engine within AI applications and developing the supporting infrastructure. This position offers significant equity and a competitive salary ranging from $170K to $220K.
What You Will Build
We already handle millions of requests per minute, with expectations for dramatic growth in the coming months.
Your projects will include:
An ad decisioning pipeline that encompasses candidate retrieval, scoring, filtering, and final ranking, all under stringent latency service-level agreements (SLAs).
A Publisher SDK for seamless integration that AI application developers can implement in just hours.
A delivery infrastructure that includes pacing, frequency capping, budget management, and campaign throttling.
An observability stack featuring real-time dashboards that track auction win rates, fill rates, revenue, and latency percentiles.
