About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Forward Deployed Marketing Data Scientist who will work hand-in-hand with our AI Decisioning clients and internal engineering teams to ensure that AI-enhanced marketing campaigns yield measurable and impactful results. This position is uniquely cross-functional: you will engage in diagnosing model behaviors, fine-tuning machine learning parameters, analyzing campaign incrementality, delving into customer data, and translating insights for marketers and executives.
Marketing teams leverage Hightouch to transform their operational strategies. Rather than planning campaigns weeks in advance, our AI Decisioning continuously adapts to customer preferences, executing personalized messaging in real-time. Your role is to ensure these AI agents are performing optimally and to clarify their performance metrics to our clients.
Collaborating with machine learning engineers, product managers, and Solutions Consultants, you will enhance campaign efficacy, troubleshoot experiments, and uncover new opportunities for growth. Approximately 30% of your time will involve direct customer interaction, while 70% will focus on in-depth analysis and modeling tasks.
No two days will be the same, but you can expect to:
Manage diagnostics, insights, and optimization for AI Decisioning campaigns
- Articulate the reasons behind AI Decisioning's performance using counterfactuals, incrementality analyses, and cohort studies.
- Identify and resolve performance challenges, refine reward functions, and ensure the agent's recommendations align with client objectives.
