The Human Resources Operations Specialist role is a full-time position based in Austin, TX. This role focuses on daily HR operations, working closely with employees as well as the finance and IT teams. Please note: visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Key Responsibilities Manage bi-weekly payroll processing in multiple states, including handling timecards, deductions, taxes, and garnishments. Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations. Oversee the HRIS as the primary administrator: keep data accurate, manage organizational changes, support integrations with payroll, benefits, and IT, and handle audits and reporting. Configure and update pay core elements such as pay groups, pay codes, earnings and deduction types, GL mappings, and state/local tax settings as new locations are added. Prepare and manage employee documentation, including offer letters, I-9/E-Verify compliance, policy acknowledgments, leave paperwork, and separation packets. Maintain strict file management and retention practices. Coordinate onboarding activities from pre-boarding through orientation and 30-day check-ins to help new hires acclimate. Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, time off, and HR policies, escalating issues when necessary. Compensation and Benefits The compensation package includes a base salary up to $80,000 USD, stock options, and additional benefits.
