Role Summary & Mission
The Forward Deployed Engineer (Delta) is a pivotal role within the Palantir Center of Excellence, acting as the driving force behind active development, quality delivery, and adherence to technical standards. While the FD Partner is responsible for the value outcome, the FD Delta focuses on the quality and speed of the solutions developed. Collaborating within pods, FD Deltas convert use case requirements into production-ready Palantir solutions on Foundry and AIP, ensuring both rapid execution and the engineering rigor necessary for long-term sustainability.
This position is perfect for a hands-on, technically proficient engineer who excels at the intersection of complex business domains and modern data platform development. FD Deltas serve as the primary technical authority within their pod and are expected to uphold the standards of the Center of Excellence while pushing the limits of what Palantir's tools can accomplish.
Note: This is a Forward Deployed position, which entails travel expectations of 10-30% (approximately 2-6 nights per month), with variations in travel frequency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the active development of Palantir Foundry and AIP solutions throughout the entire delivery lifecycle — from use case definition to prototyping and production.
- Design and construct data pipelines using Foundry Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories; model insurance domain logic within the Ontology (objects, links, Action Types, Functions).
- Develop operational applications in Workshop, OSDK, and Quiver with a focus on business KPIs and enhancing user experience.
- Create and sustain AI agents using AIP Agent Studio, Logic, Evals, and Observability tools.
- Ensure compliance with CoE technical standards, including code quality, documentation, reusability, and architectural patterns, safeguarding adherence across pod outputs.
- Collaborate with FD Partner on requirements and other key aspects of project execution.
