We go beyond merely addressing support tickets—we form deep partnerships with customers, Product, and Engineering teams to architect solutions, troubleshoot complex integrations, and influence our product roadmap based on genuine developer needs.
About the Role
We are in search of a Forward-Deployed Engineer who will serve as a hands-on technical partner to our API customers. This role is highly technical and customer-oriented, combining elements of solution architecture, developer advocacy, and technical program management.
You will engage directly with developers, product teams, and executives within our clients’ organizations—from architecting their API-driven systems to enhancing query performance and rolling out new features. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of internal tools, documentation, and demos that facilitate API adoption and maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the dedicated technical partner for strategic API Platform clients, guiding them through architecture design, integration, and optimization.
Diagnose API performance issues, integration challenges, and quality concerns—delving into code and logs when necessary.
Create prototype integrations, search workflows, and demonstrations to speed up adoption and inspire customer innovation.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to address high-priority escalations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
Gather and synthesize customer feedback to enhance API features, SDKs, and overall developer experience.
Stay well-informed about the latest capabilities of the API Platform, its competitive landscape, and best practices, using this knowledge to advise clients effectively.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
Over 5 years of experience in technical support engineering, software engineering, or solutions engineering, with direct application development experience.
Proven hands-on expertise with APIs and integration strategies.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for engaging effectively with clients.
