What You Need:5+ years of experience in developmental flight testing. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Willingness to travel 25% of the time within 100 miles of the San Francisco Bay Area. A collaborative mindset paired with exceptional attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Matlab, Python, etc. Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Class 3 medical certificate through a FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the development and preparation of FAA Certification Ground and Flight test plans.
  • Contribute to the creation of test cards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintainers, technicians, and program management to ensure safe and efficient test operations.
  • Support the generation of Company and Certification reports.
  • Prepare material for test readiness reviews.
  • Serve as a flight test engineer and/or test conductor during test events both on the aircraft and in the control room.
  • Engage in flight briefs and debriefs for test events.
  • Take part in test setup activities on the flight line.
  • Report and communicate test results to the Flight Test and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in all aspects of the Flight Test Safety Risk Management process.
  • Prepare test operating limitations and advisories in collaboration with relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Attend safety review board (SRB) meetings.
