QualificationsWhat You Bring:A degree or apprenticeship in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or robotics. Theoretical knowledge in flight mechanics and foundational control engineering, complemented by practical experience with model aircraft, multicopters, or their subsystems. Proficiency in programming with Matlab/Simulink, and familiarity with C and Git is highly advantageous. A passion for model aircraft construction, drones, or robotics, coupled with enthusiasm for implementing and testing innovative ideas. Strong interpersonal skills along with a friendly and competent demeanor, making you a go-to expert within the team. Self-motivated with the ability to manage your responsibilities independently. Fluent communication skills in English.

About the Role

As an integral member of our Flight Controls team, you will tackle some of the most fascinating challenges in flight guidance, dynamics, and control systems. Collaborating closely with a dynamic group of four experts, you will be at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of drone technology.

Your role will involve working alongside stakeholders from navigation, embedded systems, and flight test departments to design, implement, and validate cutting-edge flight guidance and control algorithms, contributing significantly to the mission of Quantum-Systems.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Develop and code flight guidance and control algorithms for both automatic and autonomous flight systems.

  • Assist in creating models for flight dynamics and designing control and feedback mechanisms based on these models.

  • Prepare and conduct flight tests with UAS systems.

  • Analyze flight data and evaluate test results comprehensively.

  • Generate C/C++ code using Matlab Simulink and integrate it into the flight control systems and autopilot frameworks.

  • Support product certification and obtain necessary flight permits, such as those for BVLOS flight projects.

  • Contribute to the enhancement of our product development processes.
