InCharge Energy seeks a Financial Accounting Manager to guide accounting operations from its Richmond, VA office. This leader will take charge of financial reporting accuracy, compliance, and timely month-end closing. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the manager will supervise the General Ledger (GL) accounting team and serve as a key partner to operational accounting, ensuring all Order to Cash and Procure to Pay activities are properly reflected in the general ledger.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct general ledger activities for sales and purchasing, making sure revenue, margins, inventory, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts are recorded accurately.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in line with GAAP standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of GL accounting staff.
- Work closely with the Director of Accounting to maintain strong internal controls, support audit activities, and ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Spot and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
