The Field Service Technician position is an entry-level role focused on the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs to ensure optimal energy production. As part of this position, you will have numerous opportunities to expand your skill set and contribute to a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high safety standards in all tasks
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on solar photovoltaic systems
  • Learning electrical theory, NEC code, and industry best practices
  • Conducting DC and AC tests including polarity checks, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, and insulation resistance
  • Interpreting schematics for system layouts and connections
  • Managing a schedule for maintenance and repairs on solar equipment including trackers, inverters, and transformers
