About the job

As a Field Service Engineer II, you will engage directly with customers on-site to tailor methods and processes that effectively incorporate Intelligrated products into their operations. Your role will encompass the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and moderate PLC program modifications of material handling equipment. You will also conduct preventative maintenance, train customer personnel, and perform system audits, alongside installations of various retrofits. Additionally, you'll be responsible for handling both planned and emergency service calls, addressing mechanical, electrical, and system control issues while assisting with equipment installations and subcontractor management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing planned and emergency service calls, equipment rebuilds, system audits, and preventive maintenance contracts.
  • Preparing tools and reviewing technical drawings for service calls.
  • Documenting service, expenses, preventive maintenance, and system audits.
  • Researching part numbers and service information prior to and during service calls.
  • Managing parts orders for retrofits and rebuild projects.
  • Effectively communicating with customers regarding system-related issues.
  • Preparing for services by reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs), budgets, and manpower requirements.
  • Reviewing service reports with customers.
  • Updating incident retrieval dashboards.
  • Conducting system walk-downs or walk-throughs.
  • Assisting in the training of customer maintenance staff.
  • Completing warranty request forms.
  • Leading and conducting rebuilds on field equipment.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and control programming issues.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Parts teams to resolve field issues and work on system projects.
  • Engaging with fellow Customer Service Engineers, management, and engineering to find solutions to challenges.
  • Supporting Technical Support with mechanical-related inquiries.
  • Promoting upgrades and new products to enhance customer efficiency.
  • Training other Customer Service Engineers in the field.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Note that this role may require up to 90% overnight travel within the United States and internationally.
