Qualifications:Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field, with a strong technical background in building systems and operations. Excellent planning and organizational skills are essential for effective budget management, inventory control, and vendor relationship oversight. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in using e-mail, voicemail, and basic Windows applications (Excel knowledge is a plus) is beneficial.

Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in leading and managing all building operations and maintenance functions. This position ensures that facilities, equipment, and systems remain safe, operational, and compliant with all regulatory standards. The Supervisor oversees a team of maintenance technicians, efficiently assigns and prioritizes work orders, and guarantees the timely execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Additionally, they coordinate complex repairs, monitor building systems performance, and implement best practices aimed at maximizing operational efficiency and extending asset lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute skilled maintenance and repair tasks in line with current industry standards, utilizing hand and power tools as well as diagnostic instruments. Respond promptly to customer requests, maintain detailed records of job assignments and statuses, and handle emergency calls effectively, including after-hours situations. Create and manage comprehensive maintenance records for all assigned equipment and systems, leveraging both hardcopy logs and CMMS software.
Foster clear communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, showcasing a professional and organized approach to the Facilities department. Mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring all assignments are completed with a focus on quality and timeliness. Facilitate the relocation of furniture, equipment, and materials in a manner that optimizes resource utilization across the university.
