Role Overview
Akumen Inc. seeks a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join the software development team. This role covers all phases of the software development lifecycle, with emphasis on architecture, design, quality, and implementation. A major focus is upgrading, managing, and maintaining cloud-based applications. Success in this position requires strong experience with Java, Angular, C#, and related technologies. The ideal candidate is analytical, self-motivated, and communicates well while handling both front-end and back-end projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement application environments. Develop release management procedures and provide production support.
- Write and refine software code, conduct unit testing, and perform peer reviews to maintain coding standards and quality.
- Work with team members on software design, deliver accurate work estimates, and implement new features, including user interfaces and data transformation components.
- Lead upgrades for complex Angular (v9), C#, and Java (v11) applications to current stable releases, focusing on compatibility, performance, and security.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Ensure all development activities comply with security policies and practices.
- Independently address security vulnerabilities found in code scans.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and stakeholders to understand and implement business requirements. Communicate updates to program, project, and team leads about risks or needed adjustments to project plans.
- Keep current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Debug and develop across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and . NET technologies.
