This role is a year-long contract (expected from May 2026 to May 2027) that focuses on executing the organization’s 3C (Connecting Capital to Communities) initiative, which supports small multi-family (5-49 unit) affordable buildings across DC neighborhoods. We welcome applicants with experience working with diverse populations in the DC area and those possessing expertise in housing, particularly in real estate development, property management, and underwriting.The Program Officer will play a vital role in communicating the mission and value of LISC DC to community partners and stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director and will collaborate with other team members as part of the 3C initiative. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the creation, design, and implementation of Phase 2 of the 3C initiative, aimed at supporting 16 small buildings in DC’s Ward 4 and 7.Collaborate with a team of staff and consultants to provide technical assistance to building owners, which includes analyzing the fiscal health, physical requirements, operations compliance, and owner portfolio, along with developing recommendations for improvement.Co-manage a small team of consultants that deliver coaching and cohort training sessions to building owners.Work alongside the lending team to allocate capital to 5-6 buildings.
