But we are more than just game creators; we have our own film studio, publish engaging board games and books, and through our iconic 2000AD brand, we produce celebrated comics and graphic novels like Judge Dredd.We are seeking a passionate Junior VFX Artist eager to embark on or advance their career in the gaming industry. Join our dynamic VFX team to contribute to an exciting new large-scale project, developed by a seasoned team recognized for their outstanding shooter games.The VFX team is responsible for crafting all visual effects in Rebellion's titles, encompassing particle effects, screen post effects, material effects, mesh destruction effects, and UI effects, all built within our proprietary engine, Asura.Key Responsibilities:Develop real-time particle effects with guidance and support from Senior and Lead artists.Design spritesheets and flipbooks, and prepare particle textures for integration in-engine.Implement effects in the game engine while adhering to established naming conventions, folder structures, and performance guidelines.Optimize and refine your work, addressing bugs, adjusting overdraw, spawn rates, and LODs to ensure effects are both efficient and visually captivating.Collaborate closely with design, programming, and art teams to create effects that enhance gameplay and elevate player experience.Document your process, capture references, and help maintain organized, current effect libraries.This exhilarating opportunity allows you to work from any of our studios in Oxford or Warwick, offering a collaborative atmosphere and the chance to engage with a world-class team!
