About the job
We are in search of a technically inquisitive and enthusiastic engineer eager to advance within the realms of DevOps and modern IT operations. This position transcends a conventional DevOps automation role, merging hands-on system configuration, deployment management, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of software and infrastructure.
If you thrive on problem-solving, enjoy working with Linux and open-source technologies, and take pride in managing systems that function within real industrial settings, this role is an excellent match for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and configure hardware and virtual environments (Proxmox, VMs, necessary software) prior to deployment in wind farms, and remotely integrate systems post-installation.
- Implement deployment procedures, conduct functional testing, verify connectivity with local systems, and ensure the environment is primed for production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues concerning containers (Docker, docker-compose), virtual machines, microservices, and SCADA components.
- Document activities in ticketing and knowledge management systems while collaborating with internal teams, including 3rd-level support, to uphold service quality.
- Provide insights for the continuous enhancement of tools and processes, and support operations throughout the initial production phase.
Technologies You Will Work With:
- Linux / Open Source (primary environment)
- Docker & docker-compose
- Proxmox (virtualization)
- Git
- MinIO (S3-compatible storage)
- Cumulocity Edge, MongoDB
- Various scripting tools (Ansible, etc.) — mainly for usage, not creation
- PowerShell (occasionally executed from Linux)
- Azure DevOps (code repository)
