ProSidian is actively seeking an Engineering Operations Technician II specializing in Construction Project Controls Engineering for program support on an Exempt W2 basis, eligible for 1X overtime. This position will be based on-site at the client location in the Vancouver, WA area. The role is contingent upon contract availability and generally located throughout the contiguous United States (CONUS), particularly in the Pacific Northwest region. We are looking for qualified engineering technicians to assist with construction administration, scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD).
Ideal candidates will possess relevant experience in the Federal Government's Transportation Infrastructure sector, showcasing both functional and technical expertise. This position involves engaging with clients such as the FHWA in a professional services capacity, focusing on construction project controls engineering. While this role is categorized as a Contract Contingent position, ProSidian reserves the right to transition it to a full-time W-2 employment opportunity.
Job Overview
The Engineering Operations Technician II will deliver on-site engineering support services within the Federal Government's Transportation Infrastructure sector, particularly for clients like the U. S. Department of Transportation (FHWA | WFLHD). Responsibilities include advanced engineering operations, facilities and infrastructure support, and addressing complex system issues to ensure mission-critical operations run smoothly. The technician will work autonomously to troubleshoot and resolve challenges in infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, or civil systems, oversee contractor activities, ensure compliance with FHWA and DOT regulations, and prepare technical reports.
Responsibilities and Duties
The technician will support commissioning and testing processes, manage contractor oversight, guarantee adherence to safety and environmental standards, and play a pivotal role in emergency response and operational continuity. This role calls for three (3) advanced engineering technicians who can operate with limited supervision and contribute significantly to the success of FHWA projects.
