As a Project Planning & Commissioning Engineer, you will collaborate on early planning, coordination, and commissioning activities, ensuring that high-performance electrical, mechanical, and control systems are brought online safely, efficiently, and within schedule.This is an onsite, hands-on role based at the headquarters in Tysons Corner, where you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams in design, construction, and commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesEarly Project Planning SupportAssist in creating cost models, manpower forecasts, and material tracking systems.Facilitate alignment of schedules and expectations among engineering, construction, and commissioning stakeholders.Commissioning Execution SupportHelp in planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities.Support system readiness checks, testing procedures, SOPs/MOPs, and turnover documentation.Data-Driven Project ExecutionUtilize tools such as Excel or Power BI to analyze project schedules, commissioning data, and test results.Provide insights to enhance efficiency, sequencing, and operational readiness.Cross-Functional Field CollaborationCollaborate with design engineers, construction teams, field technicians, and operations personnel.Assist in troubleshooting and ensuring seamless system integration during commissioning.Documentation & ReportingMaintain thorough documentation for commissioning test results and safety compliance.Generate reports, checklists, and closeout packages.
