About the Role
PagerDuty is on the lookout for a Director of Pricing & Monetization to spearhead the strategy and execution of how we package, price, and monetize our Operations Cloud platform. This pivotal role resides within our Product Development organization and reports directly to the VP of Product Strategy & Growth.
This role is product-centric. You will apply the same rigor to pricing that a top-notch Product Manager brings to product development: deep customer empathy, structured experimentation, clear feature tiering frameworks, and a focus on measurable outcomes. You will serve as a crucial link between Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing, ensuring that our pricing strategy seamlessly translates into effective field execution and commercial success. You will oversee the entire lifecycle from recommendations to implementation and operations, making real-time decisions on the deal desk, discounting, and promotions.
The ideal candidate has experience at the intersection of product management and monetization within a mature B2B SaaS environment. You have managed packaging decisions from start to finish, established monetization infrastructures, and possess the credibility to influence both product roadmaps and sales strategies.
What You’ll Own
Product & Monetization
- Define and refine PagerDuty's packaging architecture — including tiers, feature placement, usage-based levers, and entitlement frameworks — in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
- Establish and uphold a monetization review process that allows product teams to incorporate pricing strategy into roadmap decisions early on, rather than as an afterthought.
- Lead SKU design and experimentation: create frameworks for efficiently developing, testing, and iterating on packaging changes.
- Own the monetization platform roadmap — including usage tracking and entitlement frameworks.
