Role Overview: Director of Business Development – Retail Media
This leadership role focuses on expanding Kepler’s retail media business. The Director will set go-to-market strategies and drive revenue growth in the retail media ecosystem, with a focus on platforms such as Amazon Ads (SPA, DSP, AMC), Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, Criteo, DoorDash, and other emerging Retail Media Networks (RMNs).
The Director’s main goal: secure new enterprise retail clients and build strategic partnerships with brands, agencies, and technology partners. The position promotes Kepler’s “Retail 360” approach, treating retail media as a fully integrated business driver. Deep knowledge of retail sales operations and retail SEO/content is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership and Revenue Growth
- Manage the entire sales cycle for enterprise retail opportunities, from prospecting to contract close, with a focus on high-growth endemic advertisers.
- Build and maintain detailed sales pipeline documentation, including forecasts and projections.
- Refine Kepler’s retail media go-to-market story to differentiate and productize offerings.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities by understanding Kepler’s full suite of services and connecting leads to multi-channel strategies.
- Strategic Partnerships and Thought Leadership
- Develop and strengthen relationships with RMN partners (such as Amazon and Walmart) to deliver value for clients and prospects.
- Cultivate connections with retail media technology partners to support client needs.
- Act as a senior strategic advisor, providing consultative guidance on retail data solutions (including AMC, Scintilla, and others).
