Role overview
The Commercial Account Manager - Portfolio Management is based in Toronto and joins the Commercial Portfolio Management team. This role oversees daily operations for a select group of lending partners and their mortgage portfolios, managing the process from initial funding through to maturity. The portfolio includes both conventional and construction mortgages across various asset classes.
Main responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations for assigned lending partners and their mortgage portfolios.
- Guide portfolios through all stages, from funding to maturity, with a focus on conventional and construction mortgages.
- Provide attentive customer service, handling underwriting processes such as renewals, assumptions, refinances, and loan modifications to support annual retention goals.
- Ensure compliance with established policies and underwriting standards.
- Proactively manage risks within the commercial construction lending portfolio.
- Work closely with the Commercial Analyst and Manager of Portfolio Management to monitor project statuses, covenants, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Communicate with stakeholders and conduct site inspections as needed.
- Oversee the work of the Commercial Analyst.
- Conduct annual reviews to ensure lending parameters and risk management standards are met.
- Take on additional credit-related and administrative tasks as required.
