Strategically plan and manage material requirements based on MRP, production schedules, and customer demand.B. Develop and sustain production-related material plans to guarantee a seamless supply chain.C. Monitor and control inventory levels (Days of Inventory, shortages, excess) in alignment with plant objectives.D. Analyze forecasts and production plans to fine-tune material requirements accordingly.E. Identify and communicate potential material risks and shortages that may impact production.F. Collaborate with the Master Scheduler and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to schedules.G. Execute MRP action messages (expedite, defer, cancel) to optimize supply chain efficiency.H. Generate and manage purchase orders to fulfill planned material needs.I. Follow up with suppliers to guarantee on-time delivery and address supply issues proactively.J. Support supplier communications regarding schedules, changes, and constraints.K. Participate in cost control initiatives and assist in negotiation processes as necessary.L. Monitor supplier performance metrics such as delivery, responsiveness, and quality.M. Maintain accurate system data within MRP/ERP related to planning and purchasing activities.N. Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives in materials planning and procurement processes.
