Strategically plan and manage material requirements based on MRP, production schedules, and customer demand.B. Develop and sustain production-related material plans to guarantee a seamless supply chain.C. Monitor and control inventory levels (Days of Inventory, shortages, excess) in alignment with plant objectives.D. Analyze forecasts and production plans to fine-tune material requirements accordingly.E. Identify and communicate potential material risks and shortages that may impact production.F. Collaborate with the Master Scheduler and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to schedules.G. Execute MRP action messages (expedite, defer, cancel) to optimize supply chain efficiency.H. Generate and manage purchase orders to fulfill planned material needs.I. Follow up with suppliers to guarantee on-time delivery and address supply issues proactively.J. Support supplier communications regarding schedules, changes, and constraints.K. Participate in cost control initiatives and assist in negotiation processes as necessary.L. Monitor supplier performance metrics such as delivery, responsiveness, and quality.M. Maintain accurate system data within MRP/ERP related to planning and purchasing activities.N. Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives in materials planning and procurement processes.

As a Senior Buyer at Jacuzzi Group, you will play a pivotal role in scheduling materials and managing inventory levels to support our hot tub production at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico. You will be responsible for negotiating and contracting the procurement of raw materials, machinery, tools, and various supplies essential for our operations.Key Responsibilities:A. Material Scheduling: Effectively schedule materials to align with our spa build plan and demand.B. Supply and Demand Management: Continuously assess supply and demand requirements, ensuring timely purchases to meet production needs.Communicate forecast demand signals to our supply chain.Issue purchase orders to support material requirements planning (MRP) and maintain target inventory levels.Ensure accurate delivery dates and quantities in our management systems.Expedite orders to accommodate urgent requirements.Manage order cancellations and delays as necessary.Monitor supplier performance and address delivery issues proactively.Conduct monthly reviews of supply chain failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Establish long-term blanket orders where beneficial.Gain a comprehensive understanding of relevant purchasing and logistics systems to streamline daily operations.C. Inventory Optimization: Strive to optimize inventory levels and freight costs:Maintain a forward coverage of 15-30 days.Identify minimum order quantities that exceed 30 days and collaborate with sourcing to mitigate.Regularly assess safety stock levels.Schedule delivery frequencies to balance cost with product availability.Continuously verify the accuracy of inventory data.D. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and flexibility:Implement inventory agreements with a majority of our suppliers.Identify localization opportunities within the supply base.Engage in long-term capacity planning with strategic vendors.Develop strategies for lead time reduction.Explore SKU rationalization opportunities.Prepare analytical reports for management review.E. Issue Resolution: Ensure seamless production continuity by effectively communicating with suppliers to resolve any issues that may impede the fulfillment of purchase orders.Address price discrepancies promptly.Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues.Manage delivery concerns efficiently.
