We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-directed, and service-oriented individual for the position of Hot Kitchen Supervisor within our BSD operations program. Position ObjectiveTo coordinate, supervise, and ensure the efficient operation of the hot kitchen area, guaranteeing quality, safety, and efficiency in food preparation while adhering to service standards across various business units. Operational Supervision: Lead the team of cooks and assistants in preparing hot meals.Quality Control: Ensure that dishes meet standards of flavor, presentation, and appropriate temperature.Inventory Management: Control inventories, request raw materials, and supervise their proper storage and rotation.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to hygiene, food safety standards, and internal procedures.Production Planning: Organize menus and preparation times according to the demand of each unit.Training and Development: Train staff in hot kitchen techniques, best practices, and safety.Incident Resolution: Address unforeseen operational issues and ensure continuity of service.Communication: Collaborate with other departments (purchasing, storage, service) to ensure smooth operations.

We are currently seeking a motivated, self-directed, and service-oriented individual for the position of Kitchen Assistant within our BSD operations program. This position will be based at CIMMYT's headquarters in El Batán, Texcoco, Mexico, which is conveniently located just 45 minutes from Mexico City. Key Responsibilities:1. Cleaning and Sanitization:Conduct thorough and regular cleaning in the kitchen, dining area, cafeteria, food truck, grocery store, warehouses, BBQ area, vending machines, Mexican Corner, and community kitchen in accordance with the Distintivo H and Punto Limpio guidelines.Operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring the proper use of cleaning chemicals and reporting any malfunctions.Clean major equipment (refrigerators, stoves, grills, ovens, hoods, filters, cold tables) and minor equipment (pots, knives, thermoses, cutting boards, inserts).Maintain clean drains and grease traps, managing waste as per internal documentation.Clean service units, trash bins, and assist with inventory and organization of equipment in warehouses. 2. Daily Operational Support:Assist in food preparation: soups, sides, main dishes, desserts, and snacks.Handle cash register operations (cash and terminal) at various sales points.Provide customer service at the service line, offering guidance and cordial assistance.Restock refrigerators and assist in the warehouse with organizing raw materials, issuing vouchers, and delivering water bottles.Receive suppliers and verify products against receipts.Cover shifts on weekends, holidays, or in case of staff absence. 3. Support for Special Events:Prepare hot and cold beverages as per operational needs.Participate in catering services: setup, execution, transportation, and cleanup.Provide quality and warm customer service. 4. Documentation and Compliance:Accurately complete documentation related to kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
