About the job
We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in our Connectivity domain and Over-The-Air (OTA) update features. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong grasp of automotive systems and their development. This role involves defining Model Based Systems Engineering deliverables for the Connectivity domain and OTA Updates features. A comprehensive understanding of the system development lifecycle is essential, ideally gained through previous experience in OEM or Tier 1 environments.
The ideal candidate embodies a proactive attitude, approaches tasks with vigor and accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We expect candidates to excel in their respective disciplines, possess rapid learning capabilities, and strive for excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the comprehensive systems engineering for the vehicle OTA software update ecosystem—encompassing requirements, architecture, integration, validation, and compliance—covering in-vehicle ECUs, telematics, update orchestration, diagnostics, and cloud services.
- Break down vehicle-level OTA features into ECU-level and cloud/service requirements, ensuring traceability for verification and validation.
- Collaborate closely with Functional Safety Engineers to develop functional safety concepts and oversee the Technical Safety Concept(s). Align safety analyses (HARA, ASIL decomposition) for OTA activities (e.g., managing degraded features during updates).
- Coordinate with testing teams to define and implement effective testing strategies.
