Pathlight School is Singapore's pioneering autism-focused school, seamlessly integrating the national curriculum with essential life readiness skills. We serve students aged 7 to 18 on the autism spectrum and related conditions, who are academically capable yet require tailored support, such as smaller class sizes and specialized teaching staff trained in autism.
As part of our Student Affairs Team, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary school team, caregivers, and stakeholders to enhance students' learning experiences and overall well-being.
Your Impact and Contributions:
Casework and Counselling
- Design and implement personalized intervention and care plans for students and their families, which include both school and community-based financial assistance and referral services as necessary.
- Manage critical incidents and crisis situations involving students and caregivers promptly and effectively.
- Facilitate transition planning to support students as they progress from school to post-school opportunities.
- Conduct group sessions addressing the needs of students and caregivers when required.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of case management interventions, including case logs and reports.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Craft and execute engagement strategies to boost parental and caregiver participation within the school community.
- Conduct environmental assessments to remain informed on community resources that can support students and their families.
Systems and Processes
- Contribute to the multi-disciplinary team focused on student admissions and reviews, identifying and engaging new students and families with potential needs.
- Review and maintain standard operating procedures related to student well-being and family engagement.
- Oversee and manage school databases, providing accountability reports to relevant stakeholders.
Capability and Capacity Building
- Develop and deliver programs aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills among professionals and stakeholders.
