Who We Are Seeking
As a Senior CFD Engineer (Delivery), you will be a creative problem solver and builder, dedicated to developing practical solutions that help our customers enhance their engineering decisions. You possess the ability to understand and apply advanced engineering principles across various industries, and excel in collaborating directly with clients, often on-site, to construct CAE models integrated into AI tools that are both functional and widely utilized.
Your expertise encompasses fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase modeling, alongside a robust capacity to translate fundamental knowledge into practical applications across diverse engineering challenges. You are highly skilled in at least one of the following simulation tools: Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent, and proficient in automating these tools to create scalable optimization workflows that yield significant outcomes. Familiarity with parametric CAD modeling (NX or CATIA) and coding experience in Python/Java (or the capability to swiftly learn programming languages) is a plus.
With 3-5 years of industry experience (post-Masters or PhD) in a commercial setting, you are poised to hit the ground running. You are adept at independently configuring CFD simulations, interpreting intricate results with insight, and making informed decisions grounded in solid engineering judgment.
This Role
In this position, you will collaborate closely with our Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and clients to identify and define the engineering challenges at hand.
Your key responsibilities will include delivering high-fidelity simulations by:
- Independently developing complex multi-physics models, from geometry preparation and meshing to simulation and post-processing of intricate real-world phenomena, while integrating experimental data for model validation.
- Creating robust parametric CAD models (NX or CATIA) along with simulation pipeline automation to facilitate advanced design optimization and Design of Experiments (DoE).
