About the Role
As the Demand Planning Lead, you will act as the central control tower for the factory's commitments, determining what we produce, when we produce it, and how we meet customer demands. You will be responsible for managing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and translating customer demand into a capacity-driven, prioritized, and actionable supply plan.
Your role will involve consolidating demand inputs, leading supply planning in the S&OP process, and ensuring that planning decisions smoothly transition into material planning and production scheduling. You will strike a balance between customer needs, operational constraints, and strategic priorities to facilitate dependable and predictable execution.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
Consolidating demand inputs from Sales, PMO, and customers while validating demand feasibility and constructively addressing unrealistic requests.
Owning and updating a rolling 3–6 month Master Production Schedule (MPS) categorized by value stream or product family.
Leading the Supply Review within the S&OP process, formulating demand-supply-inventory scenarios and trade-off options.
Balancing demand with capacity, material availability, and strategic priorities while safeguarding planning time fences.
Conducting capacity versus load analysis, identifying bottlenecks early, and suggesting mitigation strategies such as overtime, load balancing, or subcontracting.
Facilitating cross-functional alignment through consistent MPS and planning meetings, effectively communicating priorities and changes.
Establishing and maintaining planning governance, data integrity, and change-control practices to guarantee planning accuracy and stability.
