Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional with a background in open source technologies to join our team as an Enterprise Account Executive, focusing on public sector and government accounts. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in driving sales for early-stage enterprise software solutions in an entrepreneurial environment. This role is vital to our growth strategy and will involve acquiring new customers while acting as the primary liaison and representative of Kong.
Your Responsibilities:
Drive sales of the Kong Enterprise Platform to enterprise clients by devising and implementing an effective pipeline generation strategy for sustainable business growth.
Achieve personal sales targets and objectives.
Manage account planning and forecasting for your assigned territory.
Take ownership of your portfolio, understanding and documenting customer buying criteria and processes, ensuring pipeline accuracy, and guiding leads to closure.
Work closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to provide a seamless sales experience aligned with customer needs.
Represent Kong with the utmost professionalism and strive to support our customers effectively.
Willingness to travel to customer locations as necessary.
Your Qualifications:
A genuine passion for helping customers maximize their investment with Kong.
Over 10 years of experience in selling enterprise software, with a robust network in the government/public sector.
Proven success in selling to public sector and government accounts, especially engaging with senior executives across multiple departments.
Ability to leverage established relationships and effective sales techniques to achieve results.
Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
