Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesLead facilities projects, tenders, and AEI business cases. Oversee facilities suppliers including IFM, BMS, FAS, and CCTV service providers. Manage the Facilities Maintenance workshop. Ensure timely follow-up and completion of all required building inspections and certifications in accordance with local authority requirements, achieving full compliance with prevailing government regulations. Provide technical support and guidance to the management team. Essential CompetenciesExceptional communication skills with diverse stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal staff. Creative and resourceful in developing long-term operational solutions. Strong negotiation skills and effective communication abilities. Proven experience in project management. Familiarity with BMS and project management systems. Flexibility to work during weekends as required by business demands. Strategic thinking and self-motivated. Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Able to build and maintain relationships internally and externally. Physically fit to conduct inspections at various heights. Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Building-related studies. Fire Safety Manager Certification is a plus. Green Mark or Sustainability-related Certifications are advantageous. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in managing facilities and services within the MICE, Hospitality, or Logistics sectors. Experience with renovation and remodeling projects. Knowledge of Singapore Building Regulations and Environmental Health and Safety standards.

As the Assistant Director of Facilities Development, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and play a pivotal role in the planning, development, and management of infrastructure and facilities at Suntec Singapore. This dynamic position requires you to lead projects from conception to completion, including the formulation of master plans, budget proposals, feasibility studies, design development, tender preparation, and comprehensive project management.
Your responsibilities will also extend to managing essential facilities systems and service providers, such as Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Protection Systems (FAS), and CCTV. You will be tasked with overseeing vendor performance, ensuring adherence to service delivery standards, and maintaining operational readiness.
