ROLE OVERVIEW Reporting directly to the president, you will be responsible for detailed estimations and welded assembly, guiding projects from initial design through to production. You will be at the heart of operations, serving as a crucial link between clients, design, and production floor, collaborating closely with your team. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES Bidding and Sales Manage the complete bidding process: analysis, estimation, and order placement. Interpret and decode technical drawings and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive bids. Respond directly to client pricing inquiries for a variety of welded projects. Estimate materials and evaluate feasibility based on the factory's machine capacity (overhead crane, plasma table, hydraulic press brake, angle iron roller, welding machine, etc.). Production Documentation and Design Design parts, subassemblies, and welded components. Modify existing product plans and validate assemblies before production begins. Generate material lists and compile complete production documentation. Ensure that corrections and updates requested by production are rigorously integrated. Project Management and Technical Support Choose and prioritize projects to optimize the ratio of projects acquired versus hours invested in estimation. Document projects to provide effective technical assistance to the production team. Identify and propose innovative design solutions to enhance processes. Provide ongoing technical support to production during project execution. DESIRED PROFILE DEC or BAC in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Drawing, or any relevant training. 3 years of experience in design and estimation within a welded fabrication environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks or Advance Steel (essential). Ability to read manufacturing and assembly drawings (essential). Understanding of manufacturing principles, industrial production processes, and welding standards and methods. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
