Position Summary
The Coupang Pay team is redefining the digital payments landscape on a grand scale—facilitating millions of secure transactions daily across Coupang.com, Coupang Eats, and our network of merchants and partners. We are on the lookout for a Senior Staff Software Engineer who is both a strategic visionary and a practical builder. This role encompasses architectural leadership, full-stack development, and distributed systems proficiency to create payment systems that are unmatched in scale, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement sophisticated, distributed, cloud-native systems that encompass frontend, backend, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
Develop and review high-quality production code while enhancing critical paths for performance, reliability, and accuracy.
Set an example for code quality, observability, CI/CD, and security best practices across the organization.
Deliver essential features to millions of users with swift iterations, ensuring high availability and data integrity.
Optimize systems for concurrency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness under significant global traffic.
Engage in on-call rotations and spearhead ongoing improvements in reliability and performance.
