- The Product Owner at Toss is embedded within a silo or team that is dedicated to developing specific services.
- Depending on the nature of the product, teams are grouped into silos comprising around five members, including product designers, developers, and data analysts. Larger teams are formed for products that are more mature or complex.
- Our Product Owners come with diverse backgrounds, boasting practical experience ranging from 3 to over 10 years, having worked in startups, large enterprises, consulting firms, and more.
As a Product Owner, your role will include:
- Establishing and striving to achieve biannual goals for your team or silo to ensure product success.
- Making key decisions regarding business direction, revenue, and monetization while collaboratively defining the best strategic direction with team members.
- Defining key performance indicators for products, designing business models, and driving actionable items.
- Finding Product-Market Fit through hypothesis formation, data-driven experimentation, hypothesis validation, and continuous iteration.
- Identifying problems based on customer needs and business impact, and translating these into tasks while clearly communicating complex issues and solutions to stakeholders, guiding them towards long-term goals.
- Taking on a leadership role akin to a startup CEO by identifying and resolving challenges firsthand, experiencing both success and failure.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience in defining and solving problems from the customer's perspective.
- Are adept at resolving complex issues based on data.
- Possess the drive to persistently seek solutions even in challenging situations.
- Have experience creating results or learning from failures through agile processes.
- Ideally have startup experience managing everything from business planning and product development to organizational operations.

- Platform Division: Develop services related to the home screen visited by 29 million Toss users.
- Foundation Division: Create essential common services for Toss, including authentication, risk management, business memberships, and remittances.
- Growth Division: Focus on user growth, retention, and monetization related services, particularly through data-driven customer analysis.
- Pay Domain: Build the easy payment service 'Toss Pay,' developing innovative payment solutions and services to grow user engagement.
- Commerce Domain: Oversee 'Toss Shopping' within the Toss app, launching a variety of services designed to enhance user choice and experience.
- Financial Marketplace Domain: Manage intermediary services related to loans, cards, accounts, and insurance while collaborating with various partners to provide competitive financial products.
