A robust understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, particularly in the context of data center redundancy and operations, is essential. The Engineer will work closely with facility and operations teams to guarantee that all equipment installations are meticulously reviewed and adhere to CoreSite's construction standards.Responsibilities:Assess the efficiency, reliability, and engineering design of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, and building management systems for expansion and upgrade initiatives.Outline the scope for testing and commissioning to validate design intent and operational functionality of systems supporting the data centers.Provide final quality assurance sign-off for engineered systems upon project completion.Partner with Sales Engineering to devise tailored engineering solutions for customer deployments.Support the sales process for complex opportunities by delivering technical expertise.Evaluate installed systems for optimization of efficiency and reliability.Review and authorize engineering modifications to existing facilities.Offer engineering support to Data Center Operations, including failure analysis and system maintenance of critical infrastructure.Ensure quality control for Operations teams, prioritizing equipment, safety, and maintenance best practices.Assist in commissioning activities by reviewing test scripts and witnessing test performance.
