THE ROLE
The Principal Competitive Strategist serves as an essential link between competitive intelligence and our field operations. In this role, you will empower sales and partner teams with the insights, tools, and strategies they need to outpace the competition. You will lead vendor-specific war rooms and architect critical strategic deals, ensuring that requirements align with technical solutions. Additionally, you will represent our thought leadership in public forums and media engagements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate with the competitive intelligence team to convert insights into actionable sales strategies that drive results.
- Design and deliver comprehensive sales training programs focusing on competitive positioning.
- Engage directly in targeted competitive sales campaigns, providing essential on-the-ground support.
- Analyze and strategize around specific competitive account targets, working closely with account teams and partners to execute successful technical win strategies.
- This role is primarily in-office, requiring you to work from our Santa Clara office in line with company policies, except during approved leave or travel.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5-10 years of direct experience in a technical role, such as Principal Systems Engineer.
- Deep technical expertise in competitive storage products and solutions, including the Pure Storage portfolio.
- Proven experience in business strategy, linking corporate objectives with technical architectures.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for public speaking.
