Your responsibilities will encompass the full cycle of developing new autonomous functionalities and deploying them to address various applications such as inspection, mapping, drone-as-first-responder (DFR), security, and improving situational awareness. These initiatives represent groundbreaking real-world applications of autonomous robots delivering significant value across critical industries.Your Impact:Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in vision, planning & controls, deep learning, infrastructure, embedded systems, cloud, mobile, design, product, and flight testing to create advanced autonomous capabilities.Develop foundational robotics algorithms to enhance our autonomous operations in challenging conditions, including night-time, urban environments, areas with GNSS and C2 interference, maritime settings, and inclement weather.Address customer issues, identify trends, and swiftly enhance system resilience against field failures.Investigate investments in both simulated and real-world testing infrastructure.Gain a thorough understanding of core robotics principles alongside comprehensive knowledge of our system's functionality.Contribute across the software stack as needed, ensuring top-tier code quality and proactively managing technical debt.Invent, design, implement, simulate, assess, and execute new motion planning strategies to enhance our capabilities and customer satisfaction.Ideal Candidate Profile:A minimum of 1 year of experience in writing production-level code for autonomous robots, ideally for aerial systems, with strong proficiency in C++ and Python.Hands-on experience implementing cutting-edge algorithms in robotics-related domains, including computer vision, state estimation, and motion planning.
