About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer who thrives in a high-energy, ownership-driven startup atmosphere. In this role, you will design, construct, and maintain the backend systems that drive Tessera's AI automation platform, including scalable APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with enterprise systems.
This hands-on position is perfect for individuals who enjoy building distributed systems, addressing intricate backend issues, and engaging in architectural discussions within a collaborative, fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities
Core Development
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services utilizing Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy).
Create reliable microservices that enhance data processing, automation, and AI system integrations.
Implement and refine database schemas, queries, and caching strategies to optimize performance and scalability.
Contribute to the development of data pipelines and synchronization services across enterprise integrations.
AI & Systems Integration
Link backend services with AI model servers, vector databases, and automation workflows.
Facilitate smooth data exchanges between AI agents and enterprise systems including Salesforce, SAP, and Workday.
Scalability & Reliability
Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in backend code and databases.
Implement caching, monitoring, and logging to guarantee system reliability and observability.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and sustain cloud-based services on AWS or GCP.
Security & Quality
Establish secure authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2, RBAC, SSO).
Adhere to best practices for coding, testing, and maintaining high-quality software.
