What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our Flight Software Team. In this role, you will spearhead the integration of critical safety software systems including avionics, batteries, engines, and actuators. Your leadership will cultivate a high-performance team while establishing a strategic vision and ensuring operational excellence in delivering safe, certifiable aircraft software systems.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and expand a multi-disciplinary team responsible for software integration, testing, processes, and overall operations.
- Define and execute a strategic roadmap for software integration and operations throughout the aircraft development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with aircraft systems, verification, flight testing, and integration leadership to align priorities and drive program success.
- Establish testing strategies and infrastructure across various environments, including simulators, software labs, systems labs, and aircraft prototypes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex system-level integration issues by utilizing requirements, architecture diagrams, Simulink models, C source code, and supplier documentation.
- Develop and manage processes for problem report disposition, coordinating with software development teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for aircraft production, ground testing, and flight testing operations.
- Create, implement, and continuously enhance processes, tools, and guidelines to improve safety, quality, and team efficiency.
- Lead program planning, including resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Mentor and develop engineers, promoting technical excellence and career advancement within the team.
