Role Overview
We are on the lookout for a Solutions Engineer to collaborate closely with our key Retail clients, ensuring they derive significant business value from our offerings. In this role, you will engage with senior stakeholders to assess their pre-sales requirements, guide their AI initiatives, and pinpoint the most impactful use cases. You'll work alongside both business and technical teams to illustrate the benefits of our solutions and advise on optimal architectural frameworks for implementation. This position will collaborate intensively with Retail and Large Enterprise Sales, Security, and Product teams.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY, utilizing a hybrid work model of three days in-office weekly, with relocation assistance available for new hires.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide an outstanding pre-sales experience for major Retail clients by showcasing technical expertise, articulating the value proposition, and addressing inquiries related to our products, APIs, and LLMs.
Demonstrate how OpenAI’s products can fulfill customer business needs and yield substantial value, including crafting and delivering demos, defining use cases, recommending architectural strategies, and providing thorough technical guidance.
Develop and sustain documentation, guides, and FAQs addressing common inquiries and requirements identified during the pre-sales process.
Cultivate and maintain robust customer relationships throughout the evaluation, validation, and purchasing phases.
Promote customer advocacy by capturing and communicating customer feedback to internal teams, recognizing trends, and integrating insights into product development.
Act as the primary resource for security and compliance inquiries, providing standardized materials, directing clients to relevant resources (e.g., trust portal), and escalating complex issues to the appropriate departments.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a solutions engineering role, preferably within the retail or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in business scenarios.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
