We are on the lookout for a seasoned engineer to design and enhance our billing systems, improving their functionality to accommodate our increasingly intricate and expansive product portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop the next generation of billing and monetization systems at OpenAI.Implement solutions across the tech stack to establish robust billing integrations for our ChatGPT and API clientele.Craft a flexible billing platform supporting both subscription and usage-based models, ensuring it is scalable and enterprise-ready.Develop tools that allow internal teams to effortlessly integrate billing data into their operations.Engage collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Product, Data, Finance, and Go-To-Market teams, alongside fellow engineers.Ideal Candidate Profile:A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience; expertise in payments, billing, or monetization is a plus.A passion for collaborating with various partners, especially those beyond the engineering domain.A strong desire to learn and grow, with the ability to convey knowledge clearly to others.Demonstrated experience in developing and refining production systems to enable new product features and tackle scaling challenges.Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tackling complex challenges.
