Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer, Platform FDE This Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) position sits at the intersection of engineering and customer success. FDEs work directly with key users, helping them integrate Ditto’s software into their operational environments and accelerating the time-to-value for their teams. In this role, expect to observe how Ditto’s technology performs in the field, relay technical feedback and feature needs to the core product team, and address complex problems as they arise. The work often involves ambiguity and high-pressure situations, so adaptability and creative problem-solving are essential. Key Responsibilities Implement the Core Aggregation Node: Lead the architecture, deployment, and configuration of Ditto’s central data hub within SOCOM’s secure, distributed cloud infrastructure. Architect and Manage GovCloud Infrastructure: Set up, secure, and maintain production workloads on AWS GovCloud at high impact levels, meeting strict security and accreditation requirements. Deploy and Maintain Container Orchestration: Manage the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (including RKE2/K3s) in both cloud and on-premise settings. Responsibilities include upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and incident response. Engineer Secure Cross-Domain Data Flows: Design and troubleshoot data synchronization pipelines that use Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and data diodes, ensuring secure, policy-compliant, unidirectional data transfer between classification levels.
