We are involved at every stage from initial prototyping to product launch, ensuring our embedded solutions are both robust and ready for production.Your Role as an Embedded Software EngineerIn this critical role, you will design, develop, and debug software tailored for embedded systems. You will lead low-level device initialization, write efficient C/C++ code, and work closely with hardware teams to create dependable, high-performance systems. We seek engineers with extensive embedded experience, superior debugging skills, and an enthusiasm for crafting systems that excel under real-world conditions.This position is located in San Francisco, CA, and operates under a hybrid work model, requiring four days in the office weekly. We also provide relocation assistance to successful candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and troubleshoot software for embedded devices.Contribute to software requirement definitions, interface design, and testing protocols.Lead the bring-up and debugging of new hardware boards.Analyze performance metrics and implement optimizations for memory and power management.Investigate field issues, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement robust solutions.Promote best practices in software engineering.Ideal Candidate Profile10+ years of experience in embedded systems development.Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.Familiarity with embedded toolchains, operating systems, and debugging utilities.Experience with both rapid prototyping and scalable product development.Preferred: Knowledge of Zephyr RTOS.Preferred: Experience with networking/wireless stacks (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi).Preferred: Background in robotic systems bring-up or Linux kernel development.
