As a vital early addition to our team, you will collaborate with legal professionals who are trusted partners to various departments including Sales, Security, Product, and Leadership. Your contributions will range from negotiating intricate enterprise SaaS agreements to optimizing contract operations, thus significantly enhancing revenue, safeguarding the business, and developing scalable legal infrastructure from the ground up.In this role, you will:Participate in reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, collaborating across departments to balance legal risks with business outcomes, while tailoring your advice according to the context and stage of each deal.Cultivate strong relationships within the company, serving as a solutions-oriented partner to provide guidance to sales teams grounded in our technology, market standards, and your expertise.Define excellence within a legal team in a fast-paced startup environment—establishing working norms and processes to deliver top-tier service.Design, update, and enforce policies and controls governing Decagon’s contracting processes.Evolve with the team as Decagon grows, remaining open to embracing new challenges beyond the scope of Commercial legal when appropriate.
