About the Role:
Become a vital part of Notion’s Legal team as a Legal Operations Specialist. In this role, you'll ensure the daily operations run smoothly while contributing to the development of scalable programs, systems, and reporting mechanisms. You will collaborate closely with the Legal Operations Lead to enhance legal processes, optimize tools, and facilitate better access to insights.
What You'll Achieve:
Ensure the smooth operation of Legal’s eBilling and matter management systems, including vendor onboarding, matter setup/updates, invoicing, accruals, budgets, data hygiene, and vendor/timekeeper maintenance.
Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and Finance/AP for approvals and dependencies, ensuring timely accruals and payment processing.
Assist with various legal functions (commercial, employment, IP, corporate, litigation) as project needs arise.
Maintain and organize Legal’s knowledge management spaces, standardizing taxonomy and ensuring content is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Support Legal Ops initiatives, including intake processes, workflow improvements, and cross-departmental projects.
Lead projects from initial scoping through to delivery, establishing requirements, creating plans, aligning stakeholders, and tracking progress.
Monitor and report on key metrics and trends, providing insights into spend patterns and process cycle times.
Enhance and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support materials, contributing to scalable future processes.
Evaluate legal technology and AI tools, assisting with implementations and integrations, and optimizing automation for better productivity and adoption.
Skills You'll Need to Bring:
5-8 years of experience in legal operations or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Familiarity with legal technology and project management tools.
