About the Role
As a Forward-Deployed Scientist at Chai, you will serve as a key user and exploratory pilot, harnessing the full potential of our platform. You will develop a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations, utilizing your intuition and creativity to address complex challenges and targets. You will join a distinguished team of biologists, computational scientists, and AI researchers.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our collaborations with global life sciences partners surpass their expectations. Acting as our eyes and ears on the ground, you will relay your insights back to the team, aiding in the refinement of our products, models, and methodologies. You will become a trusted expert on our partners’ scientific and therapeutic needs, representing the best of what they could hope for.

About You
Our ideal candidate possesses a blend of antibody engineering and computational protein design knowledge and is highly adaptable. You operate with a sense of urgency and an inherent curiosity about science and technology. You have strong organizational abilities and are driven by a desire for progress.
PhD or equivalent experience in Antibody Engineering, Computational Biology, or Protein Sciences.
Hands-on experience in the design and characterization of antibody-based biologics, with proficiency in molecular biology workflows, binding assays, and structural inspection using tools like PyMOL.
Demonstrated ability in communication, collaboration, and execution.
Ability to thrive under pressure.
