Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer who will play a vital role in bridging the gap between hardware engineering design and scalable production. You will be pivotal in ensuring our hardware products transition seamlessly from the engineering phase to pilot production and eventually to large-scale commercial deployment.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to develop products that are manufacturable, testable, and dependable.
Establish and implement DFM/DFA guidelines, providing constructive feedback early in the design cycle to facilitate rapid iterations and scalability.
Design and document manufacturing processes, assembly instructions, and work instructions for prototypes and pilot builds.
Specify, source, and deploy tools, fixtures, and assembly aids to enable efficient and reliable builds.
Oversee the build process for engineering prototypes, including planning, hands-on assembly support, and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with supply chain and external manufacturing partners to ensure readiness for new product introduction (NPI) builds and scaling to commercial volumes.
Drive yield improvement initiatives and conduct root-cause analyses for assembly, testing, and field failures.
