Plain is strategically positioned at the heart of this transformation, and we are searching for our inaugural Head of Marketing to craft and convey our narrative.With our brand already established with limited marketing resources, the potential for growth with a dedicated leader is immense. In this role, you will define our marketing narrative, oversee the entire marketing function, and be equipped with the resources necessary to expand your team. You will begin with two talented team members (a Head of Demand Generation and a Head of Community) and report directly to Simon, our CEO.Your ResponsibilitiesOwn the Narrative: Develop the positioning and story that will establish Plain as the preferred choice for modern support teams. Collaborate closely with Simon to refine this narrative while infusing your own vision and conviction into every launch, campaign, and interaction.Make the Message Stick: Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms, so that the Plain story resonates uniformly whether encountered on Twitter, at events, or during sales discussions.Build the Function: Expand the team from two to five or more within the first year. Establish operational frameworks, narrative structures, launch processes, and maintain robust feedback loops with Sales and Product teams.Drive GTM: Execute a cohesive, experiment-driven go-to-market strategy. While familiarity with demand generation is essential for prioritization and problem-solving, this role is not primarily hands-on in demand generation.Measure Success: Success will be evident as our share of voice increases, brand awareness rises, and our inbound pipeline strengthens.Stay Close to the Business: Maintain tight feedback loops with Sales and Product teams to ensure our narrative remains sharp and impactful during launches.Why Join Us?This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of customer support marketing within a dynamic and innovative company.
