Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Provide comprehensive cost planning and present final cost plans to clients.
- Collaborate with design teams and contractors to develop and review cost estimates.
- Reconcile changes and verify contractor data accuracy.
- Engage with project managers and contractors to gather status updates for cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed feedback on contractor submissions, including executive summaries.
- Coordinate various cost information sources for discussions and supplier engagements.
- Drive engineering priorities based on cost implications.
- Proactively resolve scheduling issues with minimal supervision.
- Manage cost checks and valuations for larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate processes.
- Participate in post-contract cost variance analysis and change control processes.
- Oversee cost impact and contingency management, maintaining comprehensive tracking logs.
- Facilitate funding presentations and coordinate value engineering sessions with stakeholders.
- Develop cost plans and estimates through design phases, providing updates at key milestones.
- Contribute commercial insights to design options and value engineering efforts.
- Review pricing from contractors and subcontractors, leading negotiations to secure fair contract pricing.
- Conduct quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management throughout project lifecycles.
