As a Steward at our esteemed establishment, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas and equipment. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, operating dishwashers, polishing silverware, and preparing workstations for the next shift. You will contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment by promptly returning soiled items for cleaning and assisting in various tasks as needed.
- Efficiently wash dishes and operate dishwashing machines to keep all chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils spotless.
- Transport cleaned utensils to designated storage areas.
- Burnish and polish silverware and kitchen equipment to maintain its pristine condition.
- Ensure that all event setups are ready for the next service.
- Maintain cleanliness during events, ensuring quick return of soiled items to the dishwashing area.
- Carry out cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and disposing of trash in kitchen areas.
- Assist the Stewarding Supervisor in cleaning restaurant and banquet kitchen facilities.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Train new stewards in accordance with company protocols.
- Restock and maintain supplies necessary for kitchen operations.
- Consistently clean and maintain dishwashing equipment to meet health standards.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and soaps safely and responsibly.
- Promote safety practices around machinery and report any hazardous conditions.
- Adhere strictly to hotel policies and regulations.
- Keep your workstation and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Perform fast and efficient cleaning of all kitchen items.
- Regularly sanitize the dish area, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning cooler and freezer spaces.
