Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Legal Assistant at Tyson & Mendes, you will provide essential support to attorneys engaged in civil litigation and insurance defense. Your duties will include drafting and e-filing legal documents, managing case calendars, coordinating hearings and trial preparations, and liaising with clients and courts—all while upholding professionalism and confidentiality. We seek candidates with litigation support experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in legal software and e-filing processes. You should be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. - Format pleadings and correspondence
- File and e-file documents across State, Federal, and Appellate Courts
- Prepare Tables of Contents and Authorities for motions
- Schedule depositions, hearings, and conference calls
- Docket case-related deadlines
- Conduct research using Westlaw
- Coordinate attorney schedules and related tasks
